Every December Sanctuary partners with the Refugee Dream Center to provide bags of toiletries and household cleaning supplies to refugee families in the greater Providence area. The RDC collects and distributes these items because they are household essentials but not covered by SNAP. This year with SNAP benefits in jeopardy, several other organizations have stepped up to fill the gaps in grocery needs—but only Sanctuary provides these other necessities. So the RDC is counting on us once again this year.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
1. Using the list below, fill a bag yourself and drop it off at 15 Hayes Street any Sunday through Dec 21 at the Next Steps Bar
2. Donate funds and let us shop for you. You can give directly to this project here
3. Engage your networks by sharing this need on socials or with neighbors, coworkers or family. If you are a parent, this is also a great project to take on as a family. In the past, Sanctuary kids have written letters and distributed them in mailboxes throughout their neighborhoods.
